ABOUT the author
—

The western genre has been a lifelong passion of mine. Somewhat strange for a 34 year old English lad. From the first time I watched classic Westerns with my Dad, The Magnificent Seven, Shane and literally anything John Wayne related, to the hours spent reading classic western novels, Lonesome Dove, True Grit, The Shootist. The American frontier has always felt like a second home. At 4 years old I was so enamoured with Yul Brynners- Chris in The Magnificent Seven, the cool, calm, tough guy. I attended a fancy dress party dressed as him, black shirt, black hat, toy revolver and yep a white swimming hat to replicate his signature bald head. Giving me the lifelong nickname of Chrissie.

Authenticity

I strive for historical accuracy and genuine representation of Western life. My fascination for the west is only matched by my deep interest of American history.  From the early 1800s onwards, the westward expansion, the Indian wars to the closing of the frontier. I have studied these eras extensively, both scholarly and through primary sources, and they form the backbone for all my novels.

Respect for Tradition

Honouring classic Western storytelling while embracing refined literary craft.
